Chapter 25: Chains of Blood
Chapter 25: Chains of Blood
Anya woke up to the cold bite of metal against her wrists. She was chained to a sleek medical chair in a pristine white laboratory. The air smelled of antiseptic and something sharper, almost metallic. Beside her, Elena was restrained in a similar chair, looking exhausted but alive.
The woman with cold blue eyes the one they now knew as Dr. Valeria Voss, a high-ranking Syndicate scientist stood before them.
"Welcome to your new home," Valeria said calmly. "You two are the key to the next evolution of humanity. Your blood will change everything."
Anya pulled against the restraints. "Dmitri will come for me."
Valeria smiled. "Oh, we are counting on it. The Thorn is predictable when it comes to you."
In a reinforced cell somewhere in the same underground facility, Dmitri was chained to the wall. His silver eyes burned with cold fury. He had already broken two sets of restraints. The third set was stronger, designed for someone enhanced by Krov.
A speaker crackled above him.
"Your girl is safe for now, Thorn," Valeria’s voice echoed. "Cooperate and she stays that way. Resist and we start experiments on her first."
Dmitri did not answer. He was already working on the new chains, testing their strength.
Back in the lab, Valeria approached Anya with a syringe.
"Just a small sample," she said. "We need to see how the virus interacts with your unique strain."
Anya glared at her. "You will not break me."
Valeria injected her anyway. The needle sting was sharp. Almost immediately, Anya felt a new wave of heat spreading through her veins. This time it was different. Stronger.
Elena watched with wide eyes. "They are trying to force a mutation. If they succeed, they can control anyone with Krov in their system."
Valeria smiled. "Smart girl. Now let us see how your Thorn reacts when we send him a little gift."
Dmitri was dragged into an observation room. Through a one-way glass, he could see Anya and Elena in the lab. His blood boiled.
Valeria’s voice came through the speaker. "She is stable for now. But we can make her condition much worse. Cooperate, and she remains comfortable. Refuse, and we accelerate the process."
Dmitri’s jaw clenched so hard it hurt. "What do you want?"
"Everything," Valeria replied. "Your empire. Your loyalty. And most importantly, the complete cooperation of your Blood Orchid. She will help us perfect the serum."
Dmitri stared at Anya through the glass. She looked straight at the mirror as if she could see him.
"Do what you have to do," Anya said loudly, knowing he could hear her. "But do not give them anything."
Dmitri’s heart twisted. His woman was still fighting even while chained.
Later that night, they brought Anya to a private room. Dmitri was already there, chained to the bed but with enough slack to move.
Valeria’s voice came over the speaker. "A little reward for good behavior. You have one hour. Entertain us."
The door locked behind them.
Dmitri pulled Anya into his arms the moment the chains allowed it. He kissed her desperately, hands roaming her body as if to reassure himself she was real.
"I will get us out of here," he promised between kisses.
Anya kissed him back just as fiercely. "I know you will."
Their intimacy was raw and emotional. Dmitri took his time, worshipping her body with his mouth and hands. He ate her pussy slowly, savoring her taste until she came on his tongue. Then he made love to her with deep, passionate strokes, looking into her eyes the entire time.
"I love you," he whispered as he moved inside her. "Not the blood. Not the power. You."
Anya came with tears in her eyes, clinging to him. Dmitri followed, filling her completely.
They held each other afterward, whispering plans and promises in the brief moment of peace.
But the hour ended too soon.
Valeria’s voice returned. "Time’s up. Back to your cells."
As they were separated, Anya looked at Dmitri one last time.
"Find a way," she whispered.
"I will," he vowed.
The next day, the experiments intensified. Valeria pushed the limits of the virus, testing how it affected both women. Anya’s strength was returning thanks to Elena’s help, but the psychological toll was heavy.
During one session, Valeria revealed a shocking truth.
"You are not the first Blood Carriers," she said. "There were others before you. Most did not survive the final mutation. But you two... you are special."
Elena’s eyes widened. "How many others?"
"Enough to build an empire," Valeria replied.
That night, when Dmitri and Anya were allowed another "reward" session, they used the time for more than just intimacy.
"We need to escape," Anya whispered as he moved inside her slowly. "Elena knows the layout. She can help us."
Dmitri nodded, kissing her neck. "We strike tomorrow night. Be ready."
Their bodies moved together in perfect rhythm, finding strength in each other even in captivity.
But as they reached the peak of pleasure, alarms suddenly blared throughout the facility.
Valeria’s voice came over the speakers, cold and triumphant.
"Change of plans. The final test begins now."
The room filled with gas again.
Dmitri held Anya tightly as darkness closed in.
When they woke up, they were in a new chamber.
Elena was gone.
And on the wall, a single message was written in blood:
*"The Syndicate thanks you for your contribution. The new era begins."*
Dmitri roared in fury, pulling against his new, even stronger restraints.
The real game had just begun.
And the Syndicate was already one step ahead.
