Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Fighting Is Wrong

With that, the drunk reached out to touch Yvonne Lowell’s face, but before he could, she caught his hand in a tight grip.

Yvonne Lowell raised her eyes, staring unblinkingly at the drunk.

The drunk’s scalp tingled under her icy gaze. Just as he was about to say something to muster his courage, Yvonne Lowell twisted his hand back.

"AH! You damn girl, you’re choosing the hard way, aren’t you? Do you have any idea who I am?! I’m Martin Miller, the general manager of Starmoon Entertainment! Ever heard of Starmoon Entertainment?! You should be honored that I’ve taken an interest in you!" The drunk cried out in pain, his body bending backward with the twist of his arm.

Yvonne Lowell released his hand. ’An entertainment company manager? The kind of company that doesn’t have an online presence?’

Martin Miller thought she was scared. He straightened up. "Scared, aren’t you? Tell you what, just come with me quietly. If I’m in a good mood, maybe I’ll let you become a second-tier star in the entertainment industry."

"Starmoon Entertainment? What’s that? I’ve never heard of it~" Yvonne Lowell’s lips curved into a bloodthirsty smile as she grabbed his greasy head and slammed it against the wall.

Martin Miller saw stars. "You! You’re asking for it! Just you wait!"

"Oh, okay." With that, Yvonne Lowell slammed his head against the wall again—WHAM, WHAM, WHAM.

"Ah, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts! Miss, I was wrong, I was wrong! Please spare me!" Martin Miller’s legs gave out, and he slid down the wall to the floor.

Yvonne Lowell bent down, wiped the hair wax from her hand onto Martin Miller’s clothes, and asked without turning her head, "Had enough of a show?"

"Heh. Little one, fighting isn’t right, you know." A deep, teasing male voice came from behind and to her side.

Yvonne Lowell turned to look, and her eyes couldn’t help but light up. Standing in the corner was a man who looked to be about twenty-four or twenty-five. He had his hair slicked back neatly, his features deep and well-defined, and a pair of seductive "peach blossom eyes" that could look at a dog with affection, which were now watching her with a smile.

Her gaze shifted downward. The black Buddha Beads on his wrist made his hands look even fairer and more slender.

’Tsk. Gotta say, this guy is completely my type.’

’Those calves, that waist... Damn, he’s fine!’

Leo Grant saw that Little Marshmallow was checking him out, her eyes seeming to hold a trace of fiery interest. He strode toward her.

Just as Yvonne Lowell was about to speak, Martin Miller, still on the floor, seemed to have found his savior. He scrambled toward the man. "President Grant! President Grant, save me! I’m Martin Miller, the business department manager at our Starmoon Entertainment. I just saw that she had excellent potential and wanted to ask if she was interested in a career in entertainment. Without another word, she just started hitting me! You have to stand up for me!"

’Grant? The Grant Family, as renowned as the Lowell Family?’

’Recalling how Second Brother mentioned ’Brother Grant,’ and that place, Comet, seems to be his too... Interesting.’

Yvonne Lowell raised an eyebrow, leaning against the wall and watching him without saying anything.

Leo Grant didn’t even glance at the lump of fat on the floor. He took a handkerchief from his suit pocket and offered it to Yvonne Lowell. "Don’t use your hands next time. It’s so dirty."

"Are you trying to make excuses for your subordinate?" Yvonne Lowell glanced at the handkerchief but didn’t take it.

Leo Grant let out a frustrated laugh. ’She’s certainly good at twisting my words, isn’t she?’

He took out his phone and made a call. "Send two people up to the top floor. Also, fire the business manager at Starmoon named Martin Miller. And put the word out: anyone who hires him will be making an enemy of the Grant and Lowell Families."

’Tsk, so he knows who I am?’

"Hey, Pretty Boy, that’s not very fair of you. Why’d you have to drag my Lowell Family into it?" Yvonne Lowell’s lips curled into a smile.

’Pretty Boy?’ Leo Grant paused. ’So this Little Marshmallow actually judges people by their looks?’

’Looks like my face is good for something after all.’

"My name is Leo Grant."

’Huh? We’re in the middle of an argument, why is he introducing himself?’

"Yvonne Lowell."

Leo Grant offered the handkerchief forward again. "I was just worried the Grant Family’s name alone wouldn’t be enough, so I wanted to borrow some of Miss Lowell’s influence. Is Miss Lowell satisfied with how I’ve handled things?"

"Hmm... It’s acceptable, I guess. But my hands hurt. I’m tired from all the hitting and have no energy to wipe them. How about you help me, Pretty Boy?" Yvonne Lowell spread her hands out in front of him.

Hearing this, Leo Grant was stunned for a moment. "Miss Lowell, I’m afraid that would be inappropriate."

"Oh, then forget it. I’ll wash them myself later when I’m not so tired." With that, Yvonne Lowell started to pull her hands back.

Leo Grant seemed to sigh, then took her hand and began to meticulously wipe her fingers one by one.

’The girl’s fingers are slender and soft, but a little too thin. She needs to eat more.’

At this point, Martin Miller would have to be an idiot not to understand the situation!

He really hadn’t recognized her. He’d heard from his subordinates that the Lowell Family had found their eldest daughter, but he hadn’t seen that stupid trending topic. Who actually works diligently during work hours, anyway?!

’Besides, what kind of heiress wears a no-brand, cheap street-stall dress like that! Unbelievable!’

Yvonne Lowell: ’You’re the one who’s cheap, your whole family is cheap! And you think my 300,000 yuan custom-made dress is some off-brand piece of junk?!’

"Miss Lowell, this humble one was blind and failed to recognize your importance! Please spare me, spare me this once! It was all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding!" Martin Miller turned to Yvonne Lowell and even tried to grab her leg.

Leo Grant kicked him away. "Shut up."

Martin Miller was instantly silenced. It was true he wanted to beg for mercy, but if he didn’t shut his mouth now, he might have to stay silent for the rest of his life.

Yvonne Lowell playfully tickled his palm. "Should be clean by now, right? Any more wiping and you’ll start rubbing off skin."

The palm she had touched felt a little tingly. Leo Grant released her hand, feeling a bit reluctant to let go.

"Later, if you have time..."

"Nola? Why are you still standing out here?" Yancy Lowell’s voice interrupted Leo Grant.

Yvonne Lowell walked over. "Third Brother, I saw him bullying someone, so I was teaching him that it was wrong."

Hearing her words, Leo Grant’s lips curled up slightly. ’She’s no Little Marshmallow. She’s clearly a little fox.’

"Brother Grant... Sorry, my sister might have misunderstood." Yancy Lowell froze when he got a clear look at the man’s face.

Leo Grant smiled. "It’s alright. I’m the one who startled her. How about we have dinner together tonight? Consider it my apology."

"There’s no need, Brother Grant. We have to pick up Genevieve from school later and then go back to the family home for dinner." Yancy Lowell vigilantly pulled Yvonne Lowell behind him.

Leo Grant’s expression seemed a little regretful. "Alright, then. We’ll arrange something for next time."

"Well then, Brother Grant, we’ll head inside first." Without waiting for Leo Grant’s reply, he pulled Yvonne Lowell away.

Yvonne Lowell turned her head, waved at Leo Grant, and even threw him a flirtatious wink.

’Heh. Little Marshmallow, so heartless.’

Once the Lowell siblings had entered their private room, the aura around Leo Grant changed. He glanced down at the man on the floor. "Drag him out."

The two security guards, who had been standing by watching their boss wipe a girl’s fingers for what felt like an eternity, finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly dragged the man away.

Leo Grant rubbed the handkerchief in his hand, his thoughts unreadable, then turned and went back to his office on the top floor.

Nolan Crawford, whose head was about to explode from a mountain of documents, couldn’t help but wail when he saw him walk in.

"Bro, my lord, you’re finally back! What kind of person takes an hour for a smoke break?! Where can’t you smoke? Or did you go all the way home for a puff before coming over?"

"What time does your brother get out of school?" Leo Grant didn’t answer the question, instead walking over to the sofa and sitting down.
