Chapter 8: Little Treasure
Chapter 8: Little Treasure
"Damn, buddy... you’re loaded."
Kaiser stared at the four attributes of the little goblin in disbelief.
Normally, only Rank 9 and above beasts possessed more than two attributes.
His partner not only had four attributes, but one of them was the extremely rare Space attribute, while another was the mysterious Fortune attribute that he had never even heard of before.
"Space is already overpowered... but what’s Fortune?"
Kaiser muttered as he tapped on the attribute.
A new description appeared.
Fortune Attribute
An extremely rare attribute that influences luck, treasure discovery, resource gathering, and opportunity.
Beasts with this attribute possess an instinct for locating valuable objects and avoiding unnecessary danger.
"Hmm..."
"So it’s basically the protagonist’s luck... just without constantly getting into dangerous situations."
Kaiser grinned.
He then checked the beast’s skills.
Fortune Aura passively increased the luck of the goblin and its bonded partner.
The stronger the goblin became, the greater the effect.
Treasure Sense allowed the goblin to detect treasures, rare materials, magical objects, and valuable resources within a radius of one hundred meters.
The detection range would continue increasing as the goblin leveled up.
Finally, Kaiser looked at the racial traits.
Unlike skills, traits were unique abilities possessed only by a specific race.
He tapped on the first one.
Universe in a Bag
The Golden Fate Goblin King possesses a limitless storage space.
Items stored inside never decay.
Living beings can also freely enter and survive within the storage space.
Ordinary Golden Goblins use this space to store treasures.
A Golden Fate Goblin King can even create a complete habitat inside its storage world.
Kaiser’s eyes slowly moved toward the little goblin.
It was still happily chewing on the last piece of its eggshell.
On its back was a small crimson pouch.
At first glance, it looked like an ordinary backpack.
Looking more carefully, however, Kaiser realized it was actually part of the goblin’s body, much like a kangaroo’s pouch.
"So that’s where the storage space is..."
He wondered how an entire world could fit inside something so small.
"Maybe it’s like a snail carrying its shell..."
"Or one of those creatures that’s much bigger on the inside than it looks."
He shrugged before tapping on the second trait.
Dimensional Run
The Golden Fate Goblin King no longer relies on speed alone.
While running, it continuously jumps through nearby space, making its movements impossible to predict or intercept.
Because of this ability, no recorded Golden Fate Goblin King has ever been successfully captured since the species first appeared.
Kaiser slowly lowered his Cosmic Sheet.
He looked at the tiny goblin sitting on his bed.
"...You’re really something else."
The little goblin blinked innocently before giving him a cheerful smile.
"Ki"
The little goblin simply blinked at him before returning to its eggshell and continuing to eat.
"Okay... hopefully this last skill is an offensive one."
Kaiser sighed as he tapped on the final skill.
From its name alone, it sounded like an attack skill.
Bullet
Allows the user to create bullets using any compatible affinity and fire them at the target.
Each affinity produces different damage and special effects depending on its nature.
Current Affinities Available
From the Golden Fate Goblin King:
Light
Fortune
Space
Gold
From the Human Partner:
Death
Time
Space
Life
Kaiser stared at the screen.
His mouth slowly fell open.
"...What?"
He read it again.
Then a third time.
"The hell?"
"When did I get these affinities?"
"Death... Time... Space... and Life?"
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Every one of them was considered an incredibly rare affinity.
Time and Space alone were enough to make someone famous across the world.
Yet he possessed all four.
"What the hell is going on?"
He frowned.
"Is this because I reincarnated?"
It was the only explanation he could think of.
His soul had crossed from another world.
Perhaps that had changed his natural affinities somehow.
Still confused, Kaiser continued reading the skill description.
He wanted to see what each affinity did when used with
**Bullet**.
---
**Light Bullet**
Fires a high-speed, high-penetration bullet of light that deals **150% of the user’s Magic Attack** as damage to the target.
Against **Dark-type** creatures, the damage is increased by **100%**.
Alternatively, it can be fired at allies as a healing bullet, restoring **10% of the target’s maximum HP** with each shot.
**Mana Cost:** 10 MP per bullet.
---
"Hmm... that’s actually pretty good."
Kaiser nodded in satisfaction before looking at his own MP.
**Mana:** 100/100
He sighed.
"The skill is strong, but the mana cost is pretty high."
"I can only fire ten bullets before running out of mana."
He rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"I really need to level up."
"The first few stat points I earn should probably go into Intelligence."
"The more Intelligence I have, the larger my mana pool will become."
Kaiser nodded to himself.
"For now, having more mana is more important than increasing my damage."
After all, no matter how powerful his Talent was, it would be useless if he didn’t have enough mana to use it.
After that, Kaiser continued reading the remaining Bullet variations.
Gold Bullet
Fires a dense bullet made of condensed Gold Mana that deals 180% of the user’s Magic Attack as damage.
Has high armor penetration and is especially effective against heavily armored targets.
Mana Cost: 15 MP per bullet.
"Simple but powerful."
Kaiser nodded.
"This should be useful against enemies with strong defenses."
He moved on.
Space Bullet
Fires a bullet that briefly travels through space before appearing directly beside the target.
The bullet ignores most physical obstacles and is extremely difficult to dodge.
Deals 150% of the user’s Magic Attack as damage.
Mana Cost: 50 MP per bullet.
"So it’s basically a teleporting bullet."
Kaiser smiled.
"That would be a nightmare to fight against."
He continued scrolling.
Fortune Bullet
Fires a special bullet infused with Fortune Mana.
Deals only 50% of the user’s Magic Attack as damage.
On a successful hit, temporarily steals a portion of the target’s Luck and transfers it to the user.
The effect lasts for ten minutes.
The amount of Luck stolen depends on the difference in Rank between the user and the target.
Mana Cost: 100 MP per bullet.
"...Luck stealing?"
Kaiser blinked.
"That’s a weird ability."
"But against powerful enemies, it could be incredibly useful."
" Though damm with the mana consumption"
He continued reading.
