My Reconstruction Talent is too OP!!!
Chapter 29: Death Church

Chapter 29: Death Church

Only after he had completely disappeared did the villagers finally let out quiet sighs of relief.

Edward looked at the empty space where Kaiser had been standing.

His eyes were filled with pity.

"He was just a child..."

One of the older villagers sighed.

"What else did you expect?"

"The Church of Light has always acted like this."

Another villager nodded.

"They preach justice..."

"But anyone they dislike immediately becomes a heretic."

Several people quietly agreed.

No one dared to say those words while Priest Theodore was present, but after he had left, they no longer held back.

An elderly hunter shook his head.

"The God of Death is one of the Ten Great Gods."

"There is nothing evil about receiving His blessing."

A middle-aged woman nodded.

"Exactly."

"Even children know that."

"The God of Death stands among the highest-ranked gods."

"His authority over life and death is greater than many of the Elemental Gods."

"So why should a Divine Mark blessed by Him be considered cursed?"

Another villager let out a bitter laugh.

"Because the Church says so."

"They’ve been hunting Necromancers for hundreds of years."

"Whether they’re innocent or guilty doesn’t matter."

"If they awaken a Death Mark, the Church labels them heretics."

Edward sighed.

"The Church of Light has become too powerful."

"No kingdom dares oppose it."

"Even if everyone knows they’re wrong, who would risk their lives speaking against them?"

The villagers fell silent again.

They all understood the answer.

No one.

The Church of Light was the strongest religious organization on the continent.

Questioning them openly was no different from seeking death.

Although many people privately respected the Churches of Death and Darkness just as much, very few dared to admit it in public.

Everyone simply pretended to agree with the Church of Light.

It was the safest way to survive.

Edward looked toward the distant horizon.

"I just hope that boy survives."

"He never deserved any of this."

The others quietly nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, far away from Blue Leaf Village...

Kaiser was being carried through the air like a sack of potatoes.

The scenery below blurred as they flew at incredible speed.

Cold wind continuously struck his face.

After a while, Kaiser looked at the beautiful woman carrying him.

She was effortlessly flying through the sky while holding him with one arm.

What kind of person carries someone like this?

He thought helplessly.

After a few seconds, he gave up complaining.

From the pressure she emitted alone, he could roughly estimate her strength.

She’s at least Level 500... maybe even higher.

He had absolutely no chance of resisting.

She could probably kill him with a casual wave of her hand.

Realizing that, Kaiser wisely remained silent.

After flying for several minutes, the woman suddenly glanced down at him.

"Hmm."

"You’re a quiet kid."

Kaiser shrugged.

"I honestly don’t know what I’m supposed to say."

The woman chuckled.

"Fair enough."

"Don’t worry."

"All of your questions will be answered once we arrive at the Church of Death."

Kaiser nodded.

"I’ll hold you to that."

The woman smiled faintly before increasing her speed once again.

Since there was nothing else he could do, Kaiser turned his attention inward.

A new notification was still waiting for him.

He opened his status screen.

His curiosity immediately shifted toward the rewards he had received after awakening.

More specifically...

His new Talent.

And the abilities granted by the Mark of the Tomb.

If I’m going to survive this trial...

I need to understand my new powers as quickly as possible.

Kaiser immediately opened his status screen.

A blue panel appeared before him.

Name: Kaiser Storm

Age: 16

Level: 1

Divine Mark: Mark of the Tomb

Path: Necromancer

Class: Tomb Acolyte

Health: 100/100

Mana: 250/250

Strength: 8

Agility: 9

Vitality: 10

Intelligence: 25

Traits

• Death Affinity

• Soul Affinity

• Tomb Blessing

Skills

Soul Flame

Raise Skeleton

Soul Sense

Kaiser immediately opened the class description.

Class: Tomb Acolyte

The first class of the Necromancy Path.

Those who inherit the Mark of the Tomb are naturally capable of communicating with souls and controlling the power of death.

Every advancement strengthens the user’s soul and increases the quality of undead they can command.

"So my class is basically a beginner Necromancer."

He nodded before opening the skills.

Soul Flame

Creates pale white flames born from Soul Mana.

These flames burn souls instead of flesh.

Against living beings, they deal Soul Damage and weaken Spiritual Power.

Against undead creatures, they can either damage hostile undead or restore allied undead.

Mana Cost: 20

"A versatile skill."

"It can attack enemies and heal my own undead."

He opened the second skill.

Raise Skeleton

Consumes nearby bones and Soul Mana to create a Skeleton Warrior.

The Skeleton’s strength depends on the quality of the bones and the user’s Mana.

Current Limit: 2 Skeletons.

Mana Cost: 50

Kaiser nodded.

" Yep, definitely a beginner Necromancer"

He looked at the final skill.

Soul Sense

Allows the user to sense nearby souls, undead creatures, and death energy.

The detection range increases as Spirit increases.

Mana Cost: None

"A passive detection skill."

"Very useful."

He then opened the description of his traits.

Death Affinity

Greatly increases compatibility with Death-element skills and Necromancy.

Soul Affinity

Increases Soul Mana recovery and improves control over soul-based abilities.

Tomb Blessing

Undead under your command recover Mana and Health faster while standing in areas rich in Death Energy.

Kaiser nodded in satisfaction.

"My starting abilities are much better than I expected."

Finally, he opened the last notification.

The one describing his awakened Talent.

A golden screen appeared before him.

SS-Rank Talent: Flames of the Soulless

Description:

A forbidden Ghostfire that devours both flesh and soul. Any creature completely consumed by these pale flames has its soul stripped away and reborn as a Soulless, an undead servant eternally bound to your will. The flames themselves are living extensions of your authority, capable of hunting souls independently and endlessly expanding your undead legion.

Effects:

Ghostfire Conversion: Any creature completely consumed by the Ghostfire is transformed into a Soulless under your command. The stronger the target, the more Ghostfire required for conversion.

Soul Devourer: Ghostfire burns the soul directly, ignoring physical armor and dealing increased damage to spiritual beings, undead, and incorporeal creatures.

Living Ghostfire: You can create autonomous Ghostfire Wisps that seek out nearby souls, attack enemies, or spread the flames without direct control.

Undead Legion: Soulless retain half of their original combat powers and abilities while obeying your commands absolutely.

Flame Network: You may perceive the surroundings through the senses of any Ghostfire Wisp or Soulless under your control.

Soul Fuel: Every soul devoured replenishes your mana and strengthens existing Ghostfire and Soulless.

Eternal Burning: Ordinary water, ice, or wind cannot extinguish the Ghostfire. Only stronger soul-based powers or holy abilities can suppress it.

Flame Evolution: As more powerful souls are devoured, the Ghostfire evolves, increasing its destructive power, conversion speed, and maximum number of Soulless under your command.
