My Reconstruction Talent is too OP!!!
Chapter 20: Special Monster

Chapter 20: Special Monster

Kaiser closed his inventory and looked deeper into the graveyard.

"If that’s true, then I should make full use of it."

Common equipment could be sold for a decent amount of money, while skill books were worth far more.

The more monsters he killed, the more chances he had to obtain valuable drops.

"Let’s continue."

"Yes, Master."

The two continued walking through the graveyard.

Before long, they encountered another large group of undead.

This time there were over thirty Skeleton Warriors, ten Skeleton Archers, and several Skeleton Mages standing behind them.

The Skeleton Mages immediately raised their staffs.

Small gray magic circles appeared around them.

Bone Spears formed in the air and shot toward Kaiser.

Kaiser calmly stretched out his hand.

Several Light Bullets flew forward.

The Skeleton Mages were the first to fall.

Without their support, the remaining undead became much easier to deal with.

The Skeleton Archers fired another volley of arrows.

Kaiser stepped to the side and avoided them with ease.

His Agility wasn’t particularly high, but his reaction speed was more than enough to dodge attacks from ordinary undead.

One Light Bullet after another flew across the battlefield.

Every shot destroyed another skeleton.

Marina also joined the battle.

She scattered a thin black mist toward the Skeleton Warriors.

The poison had almost no effect on undead monsters.

Instead, she drew a short sword and attacked from behind.

Although she wasn’t as strong as Kaiser, she still defeated several skeletons without much trouble.

A few minutes later, the battlefield became quiet once again.

More system notifications appeared before Kaiser.

[Skeleton Warrior defeated.]

[You gained 45 EXP.]

[Skeleton Archer defeated.]

[You gained 48 EXP.]

[Skeleton Mage defeated.]

[You gained 60 EXP.]

His experience bar steadily increased.

Soon another notification appeared.

[Congratulations! You have reached Level 11.]

[You received 10 free attribute points.]

Without thinking twice, Kaiser placed all ten points into Intelligence.

His Intelligence increased again.

His maximum Mana also rose accordingly.

He opened his status window.

Level: 11

Intelligence: 110

Mana: 1100/1100

A satisfied smile appeared on Kaiser’s face.

"Now let’s see what dropped."

He walked across the battlefield, collecting the loot left behind by the defeated undead.

Unfortunately, this time his luck wasn’t as good.

The only drops were two Common-grade Rusted Swords.

Kaiser simply stored them away before moving on.

Over the next several hours, he methodically cleared one graveyard after another.

His Light Bullets tore through the undead with ease, and thanks to his enormous mana pool, he barely needed to rest.

By the time he had cleared the thirteenth graveyard, his gains were impressive.

He had reached Level 21.

As always, every stat point went straight into Intelligence, further increasing his Mana.

Besides dozens of common materials and equipment, he had also obtained two skill books.

The first was another copy of Bone Arrow Creation.

The second was a much rarer skill.

Undead Touch.

After learning it, Kaiser quickly read its description.

Undead Touch (Common)

Effect: Drains 1% of the target’s Vitality every second through direct contact, restoring an equal amount of the user’s Health and Stamina.

"It’s a useful sustain skill."

"It won’t help much against powerful enemies, but it’s perfect for long battles."

Just then, Marina suddenly stopped walking.

"Master..."

"I now definitely believe you are favourite of goddess of luck!!"

Marina suddenly exclaimed looking ahead.

Kaiser followed her gaze.

Not far away stood a Skeleton Mage.

At first glance, it looked like any other skeleton mage.

However, crimson markings covered every bone in its body, giving it a sinister appearance.

"Hmm?"

"What’s special about that Skeleton Mage?"

Ever since Marina had revealed the hidden class quest, Kaiser just rushed here without researching about it thus he doesn’t know just how special that blood marked skeleton mage is.

Marina spoke with excitement.

"Master..."

"That’s a Unique Monster."

Kaiser’s eyes immediately lit up.

"So that’s a Unique Monster..."

He stared at the crimson-marked Skeleton Mage with obvious interest.

"What are you waiting for?"

"Capture it."

"Yes, Master."

Marina immediately activated her A-Rank Talent: Atomizer.

A swirling black mist lifted from the ground as she atomized the surroundings of theirs and surrounded the unique monster with it.

The monster struggled as the mist restricted its movements.

"Wait!"

"Don’t kill it."

"Just hold it down."

Kaiser hurried toward the monster, unable to hide the excitement in his voice.

He couldn’t believe his luck.

Unique Monsters were incredibly rare.

They were special mutations born naturally inside dungeons.

Most players considered them walking treasure chests because defeating one guaranteed high-quality loot, often including Rare-grade equipment or Rare skill books.

But to Kaiser...

A Unique Monster represented something far more valuable.

A powerful future pet.

As he rushed toward the struggling Skeleton Mage, only one thought filled his mind.

Please...

Let me have enough Mana to evolve it.

While rushing toward the monster, Kaiser glanced at his Mana.

Mana: 2100/2100

I don’t care if I become a glass cannon at this point.

As long as I get that monster.

Within seconds, he reached the struggling Unique Skeleton Mage.

Without wasting any time, he placed his hand on its skull.

"Reconstruction."

The moment his talent activated, brilliant golden energy burst from his palm and engulfed the entire monster.

The Blood Sorcerer let out a shrill screech as its body became wrapped in the golden light.

At the same time, Kaiser’s Mana began draining at an astonishing speed.

It poured out of him as though a massive valve had been opened inside his body.

2100...

1800...

1500...

1200...

800...

500...

Kaiser clenched his teeth but continued channeling his talent.

Finally, the drain stopped.

Mana: 100/2100

Kaiser let out a long breath.

"I barely had enough..."

If he had attempted this only one level earlier, the evolution would have failed due to insufficient Mana.

Ignoring his nearly empty Mana pool, Kaiser fixed his gaze on the monster.

The golden cocoon surrounding the Blood Sorcerer grew brighter and brighter.

Cracks of crimson light began spreading across its surface.

Moments later, the cocoon shattered into countless golden fragments.

A much taller undead slowly stepped forward.

Its skeleton had become dark crimson instead of black bones with simple blood markings.

Elegant crimson robes woven from condensed mana covered its body, and a twisted staff made from blood-red bone rested in its hand.

Dark crimson flames flickered inside its eye sockets.

The aura surrounding it was incomparably stronger than before.

At that moment, the familiar system notification echoed inside Kaiser’s mind.

[Congratulations! You have successfully evolved the Uncommon Blood Sorcerer into a Rare-rank Blood Warlock]
