My Reconstruction Talent is too OP!!!
Chapter 12: Repairing II

Chapter 12: Repairing II

Returning home, Kaiser had dinner by himself since his mother was working the night shift and wouldn’t return until midnight.

After finishing his meal, he went back to his room.

He took out everything he had bought from the Association Store, along with all the broken weapons he had collected throughout the day.

Without wasting any time, he activated Reconstruction.

One by one, he repaired every damaged weapon.

The broken blades regained their original shape.

Cracks disappeared.

Rust vanished.

Broken edges became perfectly sharp once again.

After finishing the repair work, Kaiser shifted his attention to the second pile.

These were the weapons he had specifically bought to reconstruct rather than simply repair.

He picked up the first one.

Golden light gathered around his hand.

The weapon trembled before its quality improved by an entire rank.

A Common-Rank sword became Uncommon.

Then another.

And another.

Kaiser continued working without stopping.

Hours passed.

Before he realized it, he had already repaired and upgraded ninety-nine items.

When the hundredth item finished reconstructing, a notification suddenly appeared before him.

[Congratulations!]

[You have successfully repaired and upgraded 100 items at only Level 1.]

[Achievement Unlocked: Prodigy Blacksmith]

[Reward: Growth-Type Class - Blacksmith]

[Do you wish to accept this Class?]

Kaiser stared at the notification.

"A Class..."

He was genuinely surprised.

Classes were among the rarest rewards an awakener could obtain.

Unlike Skills gained from a bonded beast, a Class belonged entirely to the awakener.

Even if a bonded beast died, the Class would remain forever.

A Class also unlocked an entirely new skill tree, allowing an awakener to develop in a completely different direction.

Normally, Classes only dropped from Rank 5 Bosses or stronger enemies inside Cosmic.

Yet he had obtained one simply by using his Talent.

Kaiser looked at the notification for a few moments.

Then he calmly selected...

No.

The notification paused before another message appeared.

[Are you sure you want to reject the Growth-Type Class: Blacksmith?]

[You have rejected a Legendary-grade reward.]

[According to Cosmic Regulations, an equivalent reward will be provided as compensation.]

[Generating Legendary-grade replacement rewards...]

Kaiser smiled.

"Just like I remembered."

The Cosmic System followed strict rules.

If an awakener voluntarily rejected a reward, the reward itself wasn’t lost.

Instead, Cosmic generated another reward of equal value.

A few seconds later, five options appeared before him.

[Choose one Legendary-grade reward.]

Random Talent

Random Beast Skill

Random Human Skill

Random Item

Random Beast Egg

[All rewards are guaranteed to be Legendary-grade.]

[Please choose one.]

[Warning: Once selected, this reward cannot be rejected or exchanged.]

"What?"

"A Talent can be given as a reward too?"

Kaiser’s eyes widened as he stared at the Random Talent option.

"That’s impossible..."

He rubbed his eyes before looking at the screen again, wondering if he had read it wrong.

No.

The option was still there.

Over the years, he had read countless stories and forum posts about awakeners rejecting rewards from the Cosmic System.

Most replacement rewards were Skills, Items, Beast Eggs, or other treasures.

He had never once heard of someone being offered a Talent.

"The books never mentioned this..."

Kaiser frowned thoughtfully.

"Maybe it’s because I rejected a Growth-Type Class."

"A Growth-Type Class is much rarer than an ordinary Class."

"So the replacement rewards are probably of a higher quality as well."

The more he thought about it, the more reasonable it seemed.

He looked at the five choices once more.

A Random Beast Skill could eventually be obtained through his bonded beast.

A Human Skill could be learned later.

Items could be upgraded using Reconstruction.

Even a Beast Egg wasn’t impossible to obtain in the future.

But a Talent...

That was different.

A Talent was something a person normally awakened only once in their entire lifetime.

There was almost no way to obtain a second one.

Without hesitating any longer, Kaiser selected...

Random Talent.

"If the Talent turns out to be useful, it’ll benefit me for the rest of my life."

He smiled.

"Besides, Reconstruction can eventually give me almost everything else on this list."

After a brief pause, he added,

"Though if Random Talent hadn’t been one of the options, I definitely would’ve chosen the Beast Egg."

Legendary Beast Eggs were incredibly rare.

Even the weakest among them would contain a beast with at least Rank 8 Potential.

They were treasures that countless powerful awakeners dreamed of obtaining.

Kaiser focused on the screen as his random Talent was finally revealed.

[Congratulations! You have obtained the S-Rank Talent: Soul Smith.]

Soul Smith (S-Rank)

Allows the user to obtain the souls of defeated enemies as part of their loot.

These souls can be bestowed into weapons, granting them unique abilities based on the soul used.

"Of course it had to be a blacksmith-type Talent."

Kaiser sighed after reading its name.

However, as he continued reading the description, his expression gradually changed.

"Damn..."

"I’ll take that back."

"This Talent is incredibly powerful."

He looked at the description again, his mind already racing with possibilities.

"Doesn’t this mean I can turn an ordinary sword into an elemental weapon just by bestowing a suitable soul onto it?"

The more he thought about it, the more terrifying Soul Smith seemed.

"I really want to test this."

He smiled.

"After returning all these repaired weapons tomorrow, I’m definitely going to the dungeon."

Without wasting any more time, Kaiser finished repairing the rest of the commissioned weapons.

Ripple happily stored all of them inside the limitless space within his crimson pouch.

As for the five reconstructed weapons that belonged to him, Kaiser placed them inside his Storage Ring.

After that, Kaiser went to sleep.

The next morning, he left for the Awakeners Association without wasting any time.

He returned to his booth first and handed back all the weapons that had been entrusted to him for repair.

After receiving his payment, he paid the Association its 5% service fee before leaving the Workshop Hall.

Next, he went to the shop where he had purchased the broken weapons.

The employee was pleasantly surprised to see him return so quickly.
