Chapter 8: FOR YOU TO BEAR MY MARK

"No, stop..." Seara gritted her teeth.

She managed to free her hand and put it against Daven’s chest, trying to push him away, but he didn’t budge; if anything, he became even more aggressive.

"It’s okay, Seara. It’s okay..." Daven put his hand on Seara’s waist and spread her legs, positioning himself in the center so she could feel him.

"Don’t be afraid; there is no need to fight me." Daven sucked on her neck, and Seara winced in pain. Her position didn’t help either because she was trapped between Daven’s body and the bed.

"No, stop it... No! Daven! Stop!"

However, Daven didn’t listen to her; all he wanted was Seara. To have her for himself, because that was what should happen.

"You are mine..." Daven breathed raggedly. "You only belong to me. I am the only one who can do this to you. It’s okay, Seara; you will want this." Daven reassured Seara as he pinned her body down to the bed.

"Do I look like I want it?" Seara hissed viciously.

"It will be over soon, and after that everything will be fine. I promise you. I will make things right for both of us."

"Don’t you... dare... Ah! Get off me!" Seara didn’t get to finish her words when Daven suddenly rested his hand on her thigh.

"You are going to be mine anyway. You are my mate. We are destined to be together. Don’t fight it, Seara."

Seara shook her head. "I don’t..."

Daven shut her up as he kissed her. He sucked the breath out of her; his kiss was rough and demanding, just like his personality.

Seara was disgusted by his touch; her resentment fueled a fire within her, strong enough to retaliate against him. She bit down on his lips until both of them tasted blood.

"Fuck you, Daven!" Seara snapped angrily. She pushed Daven away and used that moment to get away from him.

Daven was too shocked by the pain and the curse words that Seara said toward him. He lost his grip on her and stumbled back on the bed as Seara pushed him away.

Seara quickly scrambled out of bed and rushed to the door, but Daven was quick in regaining his composure, and he dashed after her, tackling her down with ease.

The Alpha pushed Seara’s body to the floor; her back hit the coldness, and Seara gasped when Daven spread her legs and positioned himself.

"This is what you want?" Daven rasped. "I know you want it, right?" Daven grunted. "I know you want it too, just how I want you."

He was insane. He had lost his mind to think that Seara wanted it when she fought for her life to get away from him.

"No," Seara whimpered. She cried now when Daven kissed her lips again. "No, please..." Seara cried when Daven’s hands were all over her body. "No..."

Daven didn’t listen to her; he had lost in his own desire. All he wanted was to have her. To enter her, to break and ruin her so no one would want this woman anymore, and in the end, Seara would have no other choice but to be with him.

"Stop!"

All of a sudden, Seara had a surge of strength to punch Daven’s face. She did it as hard as she could until she felt her fingers were broken, and the pain sobered her muddled mind a little bit.

On the other hand, Daven didn’t expect this; he was caught off guard and stumbled back, which gave Seara a chance to get away from him.

Seara was sure she had broken her knuckles from punching Daven so hard.

"Get up, get up..." Seara told herself in urgency. Her head was spinning, and her fever didn’t help, as her vision turned blurry and her body was burning. "Get up..."

Seara crawled across the room because she felt dizzy when she tried to stand up, while Daven was still holding his bleeding nose.

Seara ignored her body that protested in pain as her kneecaps scraped the floor. The adrenaline rushed in her head, and the only thing she could think of was to put a great distance between Daven and her.

"Seara, don’t fight me." Daven was on her again; his hand grabbed Seara’s shoulder and pushed her down until she lay on her stomach.

"Stop this..." Seara reached out with her hands, desperately searching for something, anything, that she could use to defend herself.

She grasped the leg of the table and yanked it with all her strength, causing some things on top of it to crash down. The table then toppled over onto Daven.

The Alpha grunted in pain, but he pushed the table away with ease.

However, something Seara needed fell on the floor: a fruit knife. She grabbed it immediately, and with her last strength, she stabbed Daven’s hand on her shoulder so hard that the tip of the knife pierced through his palm and stabbed her shoulder as well.

"Damn you, Seara!" Daven cursed loudly as he pulled away, the knife still stuck in his palm.

With a feral grunt, Daven pulled the knife roughly and threw it across the room. Blood oozed out from the wound, but the pain was the least of his concerns, because right now, he felt challenged.

This was no longer about fixing what he had broken but about asserting his dominance as an alpha over her. He turned Seara’s body around so he could sit on her.

Daven slapped Seara a few times to stop the girl from fighting back.

However, the slap sobered her up a little bit and gave Seara enough strength to push Daven away, as he ripped her dress. She clawed at his injured hand, deepening the wound, which made him let go of her.

If she could, Seara would have shifted into her beast form and taken her bet in fighting Daven in her wolf form, even though her chance of winning would be nearly non-existent, because as an alpha, Daven could suppress her wolf, preventing her from shifting.
