Chapter 29: HE IS MINE!

Those werewolf packs that allied with Zade were under the territory of the Shadow Blood Kingdom, even though such dominion referred to the old monarch of the Lycan Empire that was formed a thousand years ago.

The Lycans were still at the top of the predator chain, even though their numbers had dwindled significantly.

Of course, humans were unaware of the existence of the kingdoms or the werewolf packs or any groups of ancient creatures, despite their dominance in this realm.

All of the creatures had the same rule: to keep their existence secret from humans.

"We are here," Zade said. He patted Seara’s back. He knew she was not sleeping, as she curled her body and covered her face with a hoodie. She also used Zade’s thigh as a pillow.

Slowly, Seara lifted her head and looked at her surroundings from the car window. They had stopped in front of a house; it was not so big, but it couldn’t be said to be small either.

"This is your house?" Seara turned her head and looked at Zade.

"This is part of my house," Zade replied. He was not lying because this house was actually a bungalow within his residence, located in the backyard garden.

Zade chose this place because the main building would be too intimidating and overwhelming for Seara.

One day, he would take her there, but Zade was also well aware that it might take a long time. Fortunately, as an immortal creature, he possessed all the time he needed.

The problem was that the bungalow was a rather small building and had small rooms; all the things Zade had bought for Seara had to be moved to the main building. There were only a few remaining here.

Zade then got out of the car and walked around to open the door for her. "Come here, let’s see our room."

There were only two rooms in the bungalow; one was for them, and the other had been packed with Seara’s new clothes and belongings.

Seara got out of the car and looked around her. The building was dominated by the yellow color, and it was surrounded by a small but beautiful garden with hedges around.

Therefore, it looked like one of the normal houses in the Blackthorne Pack.

"Do you like it?" Zade asked. He held Seara’s hand and took her to climb the stairs to the main door.

Seara nodded as she observed her surroundings quietly.

Meanwhile, Ace got out of the car as well. He didn’t say anything during the trip here, but he believed that Seara should have been placed on a psychiatric ward instead of being brought to this place. But who could convince Zade to change his mind when he had already decided on something?

On the other hand, Zade didn’t immediately enter the house; instead, he had his hand on the door handle as his eyes darkened.

Seeing this, Ace came closer, but before he could figure out what happened, suddenly, the door was opened, revealing a woman in black pants and a white shirt.

"What are you doing here?" Zade asked, his eyes narrowed at Chloe.

The woman had her hair dyed a bright pink that hurt Zade’s eyes, while she was wearing a very red lipstick, which made her look as if she had just eaten a human baby.

"Is that how you greet your betrothed?" Chloe raised her brows. She tilted her head and fixed her eyes on Seara. "Ow, you dumped me for her? Let me see how beautiful she is."

Chloe stretched out her hand and was about to pull up the hoodie that covered Seara’s face, but Zade grabbed her hand first and pushed her to the side. "Leave; we will talk later."

"Why?" Chloe raised her brows. She watched the way Zade positioned himself between her and the woman in the hoodie. "Does she bite?"

Seara lifted her head slightly to see the woman before her. She felt uncomfortable. There was a familiar feeling and a memory that flashed before her. Somehow, she felt anger resurface. She didn’t want this woman to be close to Zade.

"Leave, Chloe." Zade was running out of patience, and Ace could feel that. He had informed the Wolfsbane Haven people about the cancellation of the arrangement between Zade and Chloe.

Chloe should have been aware of the cancellation as well, but the fact that she was here—she was simply looking for trouble.

"I was about to leave, actually, but then I saw this yellow building. If I am not mistaken, this is that gloomy grey color of your bungalow, right?" Chloe talked to Zade, but her eyes were fixed on Seara. "So, I assume you renovate this place for her?"

Zade was really running out of patience now, and Ace hastily came closer. He was going to drag Chloe away if it were necessary, just in case Zade really lost it, and the problem would be more complicated than just a cancellation of the agreement.

However, two things happened almost at the same time.

Chloe suddenly grabbed Zade’s arm and threw Seara a provocative look. "Do you know that he is my betrothed?"

And the next thing that happened was something that none of them could imagine.

Seara suddenly snapped; she grabbed Chloe by her hair and yanked it down until she fell to the floor and started to hit her.

"He is mine! He is mine! He is mine!" Seara screamed at the top of her lungs, like a madwoman. Her hoodie was yanked open, and her hair flared around her head.

Chloe was in so much shock when her back hit the floor that she received a few punches; she couldn’t protect herself in time.

Chloe was a fighter, and she could fight, but Seara’s attack threw her off guard; after all, Seara had been very quiet when she suddenly went berserk.

Once Chloe regained her bearings, she snarled sharply; she was going to shift into her wolf form.

If she managed to do that, without a doubt, Seara would suffer severe injuries.
