Chapter 10: LOSING HER WOLF SPIRIT

"How dare you cause trouble between Daven and Silas?!" Enid screamed at the top of her lungs. "Because of you, the two of them were fighting now! You will pay for this!"

And as if on cue, Brigid entered the room, holding a small vial with black liquid in it.

"What are you going to do?" Seara watched as Eudora closed the door behind her, locking it, and then joined the other two.

"Hold her down," Enid said. The Alpha’s blood in her veins made her look dominant, and Seara was too exhausted from her fight with Daven and her fever to be able to fight the three of them.

With the cue, Brigid handed the vial to Enid while she and Eudora held Seara’s body down to the bed. Out of instinct, Seara retaliated, but one of them clasped a silver bracelet around her wrist, which hurt her beast and prevented her from shifting.

As a shifter, silver was their weakness. They wouldn’t be able to shift if they came in contact with the silver. It burned their skin.

Unless you were a Lycan, in which case you would have a higher tolerance for silver.

"What are you doing?!" Seara screamed; she was in pain, and her wolf was on edge because of the silver. "Get off me!" Seara managed to slap Brigid in retaliation.

"You bitch!" Brigid backhanded Seara twice as hard as she could. "You have put my brother in trouble! I should have killed you when you were a baby!"

"I wish you had," Seara hissed menacingly at Brigid. She threw a dagger look at the three of them, though she was unable to fight back.

Seara was in excruciating pain from the silver bracelet on her wrist. She was unable to mind-link anyone for help. She was very weak from everything that she had to go through.

Seara watched the small bottle of liquid in Enid’s hand. She didn’t know what it was, but she was sure it was not something good.

"Drink this without making a fuss." Enid knelt so she could face Seara and meet her eyes. "Drink it on your own, or I will force it down your throat." Enid was serious when she said that. She made no effort to hide her disgust and hatred for Seara at all.

The liquid inside the bottle could be poison for all she knew.

"No!" Seara struggled; she tried to get to her feet and run away from this room, but the silver made her extremely weak.

"You make things difficult for yourself! I should have done this a long time ago!" Enid didn’t have patience for this; she instructed Eudora to hold Seara down while she forced her to drink the liquid.

"No! Let me go!" Seara tried to push away Enid’s hand, but she opened her mouth and poured the liquid down her throat while Eudora and Brigid held her body down.

When the liquid moistened her throat, Seara could feel how cold it was, but the moment it fussed in her system, she felt her body was burning with so much pain. She was screaming and kicking, but she couldn’t overpower the two of them.

Right at that time, someone opened the door; it was Daven.

He had fully healed from the wound he sustained due to his healing ability as the Alpha. He was here because he had not yet finished dealing with Seara.

However, to his surprise, he saw his sister with his beta’s and gamma’s sisters here as well.

"What are you doing?!" Daven screamed at them.

He stormed inside the room and pushed them away from Seara, but the harm was done, and now Seara could feel her body being burned from the inside.

The pain was not like anything she had ever felt before.

It melted her bones and burned her brain; her blood was boiling, and what was scarier was the fact that she could no longer feel her wolf!

What was going on? What liquid was that? Was that really a poison?

There were a lot of questions in Seara’s mind; she also heard Daven arguing with Enid and Eudora, but she couldn’t comprehend what they were talking about. Their voices sounded very distant.

On the other hand, Seara whimpered, and now, after the burning sensation subsided, her body was freezing. It was so cold, as if she had just gotten out of frozen water.

The last thing she remembered before she lost consciousness was watching Daven’s anger taper down upon seeing Enid’s tears.

Seara didn’t know how long she had fainted, but when she regained consciousness, she felt extremely weak. She couldn’t even move a finger.

Once again, she was alone in her room.

She wanted to call someone, anyone, but there was no sound from her open mouth, and after some time, Seara fell back to sleep. She was spent, exhausted mentally and physically.

The second time she woke up, she found Daven sleeping next to her. He smelled like whiskey, as if he had gobbled down a few bottles of it. The smell was very strong.

Seara moved her body, which woke Daven up. He looked around him groggily and found Seara was awake.

"Are you okay?" Daven kissed her cheek, which made Seara flinch. "You have been unconscious for a whole day and night." He got off the bed and walked across the room. "You are fine now."

If only Seara had enough strength, she would have asked Daven to leave her alone, but she was barely able to lift her finger.

"What did your sister force me to drink?"

"Nothing."

It was very obvious that Daven was hiding the truth and that he was very upset.

"I know you know something." Seara gritted her teeth. "Your sister poisoned me, so don’t you dare say it is nothing."

Daven balled his fist and put down his hand, but his next words stabbed Seara harder. "I have introduced Eudora as the future luna because you have lost your wolf."
