Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Number One Enemy

’Melody Monroe? What’s she doing here?’

Raymond Ford, who had arrived at almost the same time as Hailey Paige, had the exact same expression!

Melody Monroe walked up to Raymond Ford with a smile. "Raymond Ford, we meet again. If your flight hadn’t been so early, we could have come here together."

"Uh, yeah, right," Raymond Ford said with an awkward laugh.

She didn’t even know what expression to wear in the face of this sudden development. She looked Melody Monroe over. "You’re playing Willow Lynch now?"

"That’s right," Melody Monroe replied with a nod.

Melody Monroe wore a pink ruffled skirt with a pair of white shoes. Her hair was in a low ponytail, and her makeup was light. Just by standing there, she looked like Willow Lynch had stepped right out of the book.

The aura of a young lady from a wealthy family radiated from her, from the inside out.

When the director saw Melody Monroe in her costume and makeup, his eyes filled with amazement. The resemblance to the character in the book was uncanny. ’Melody Monroe *is* Willow Lynch!’

’Raymond Ford really couldn’t understand why Melody Monroe would even accept such a minor role!’

’Isn’t Melody Monroe supposed to be proud and arrogant? Starting this low... isn’t she afraid of embarrassing herself?’

This situation only made Raymond Ford grow more anxious.

From the first moment she laid eyes on Melody Monroe, she had labeled her as her number one enemy.

When Hailey Paige heard Melody Monroe was there to play Willow Lynch, she let out a snort of laughter.

"Is Stellaris that starved for resources? Aren’t you one of Rose Shaw’s new talents? An artist under a top agent, and you’re just playing a bit part? Or what, have you finally recognized your own limits and found your place?"

Everyone was shocked the moment Hailey Paige said this.

Previously, while vying for the second female lead, the two had fought both openly and secretly online, but they had never confronted each other directly. No one else was foolish enough to start a fight to someone’s face.

By doing this, Hailey Paige wasn’t just humiliating Melody Monroe; she was also dragging Stellaris and Rose Shaw into it.

Ryan Miller instantly looked like he wanted to die.

’This woman,’ he thought. ’She can’t do a single thing right, but when it comes to making enemies, she’s a natural who’s already perfected the art.’

"We’re all actors here. A main character is a role, so a bit part isn’t a role? The importance of the role isn’t the standard for judging someone’s ability. How well you play that role is the true testament of skill. Wouldn’t you agree, Miss Paige?" Melody Monroe retorted.

Hailey Paige was left speechless by the question.

She had just messed up her takes so many times in a row. When it came to acting well, didn’t she have a clue about her own performance?

"That’s right. No matter the role, it all comes down to your own skill. And you’re not the one who gets to decide if the performance is good or not," Raymond Ford added. "The audience’s opinion and word-of-mouth are what’s important. A production isn’t just about the main characters; there are supporting roles and even extras whose names we don’t know. Everyone puts their hard work into the show, and they all have a right to be acknowledged."

As soon as she finished speaking, people nearby immediately nodded in agreement.

Hailey Paige grew even more uncomfortable. "Don’t speak too soon. Don’t think you’re some kind of expert just because you’ve been in a few shows and gotten a little famous."

Just as Raymond Ford was about to retort, Director Wallace’s voice suddenly cut in.

"Alright, places everyone! Let’s start shooting."

The people nearby quickly dispersed to get ready.

...

"Action!"

The first to appear was Willow Lynch. She had just stepped out of a car as the camera continuously zoomed in, settling on a close-up.

She lifted her head to look at the campus gate, then glanced down at the documents in her hand. Her eyes held a mix of hesitation and anticipation. With every step she took forward, her expression shifted subtly.
