Chapter 28: Formation Practicality

Ren woke up and then went to grab a cup of coffee. They still has spare for them and would need to find coffee beans here in this world. He immediately sipped and finished it as he will train the strike team with their formations.

With that, he woke them up and they all went hurrying on the Training Grounds.

Ren instructed them to make a formation on the clearing near their base. They had a future match against the defense team and everyone doesn’t want to lose.

They arrived at the clearing and then they immediately set into a line formation. Ren faced them and began to make his instructions.

"One week from now, we will have a match with the defense team. They all looked down on us as a weak team and I wanted them to take back whatever they have thought about us. So, everyone cooperate!" Ren then grabbed a slender stick by his side to spank the ones who were not obeying instructions. They all went wary of such actions from him.

"Okay, everybody! We will have basic formations or plans. From formation A to F! First, we need to listen, and that will be the most important aspect here in this practice. You all needed to listen to my instructions. Understood!?" He asked then whipped his stick.

"Yes sir!" They all replied.

"Good! Now for the formations, we will begin with formation A! A Full offense tactics!" He said then spoke, "Everyone will attack and will contribute to damaging the enemy!"

"Formation B! All out Defense! We will make defensive formation against all odds. That means we will encircle the wounded and then defend with all we got!"

"Formation C, Hit and Run tactics! We could attack and back away while being covered by others. Also a good way to switching to cover and fire in the ranged attackers."

"Formation D, Switching! We will practice this more often. We will switch between Melee and Range or switch positions against each type of enemies."

"Formation E! Retreat! We will focus on escape while we return fire. Also carry the wounded. This needs practicing and careful execution."

"Now the last one was Formation F, Recovery. We will heal the injured or make first aids before we make movements. It will be either in a defensive or retreating formation."

"Now that’s the basics and there are more combinations of formations in the future. We could use two formations at once when we would like to make specific decisions in what to do in a specific situation." Ren ended his instructions.

Now, they all played their roles and then used the formations. They had a hard time to memorize it all but they had a basic training with all of them.

As for the formation A, Rian and as well as the Bloodhound brothers will attack this time and be in all out offensive. Ren will observe if they needed help or not. Also, the Druid and Lycanthropes brothers will coordinate with their attacks. Though they were having problems with their coordinations. The two Lycans were fast and the Druids were having a hard time coping up.

The Darksage brothers used their summons and then attacked the dummy. Als, they used dark magic to assist the front liners in the front. Rian was also fast and were assisted with the two Bloodhound brothers. Making their attacks swift.

But they had a problem with formation B. They didn’t have the equipments to defend and were more suited for offense. Though they could hold their lines and could repel basic attacks from enemies.

Then in the Formation C, this was the part where they were all good at. Except for The Druids and Darksage brothers. They were slow but could attack with spells at the enemies.

The others could easily attack and retreat like what that tactics were. And Ren was happy that they were all looking good for this type of formation.

Then the Formation D, which was switching. They had to work well on covering the frontliners to escape and then trying to defend while the other one will escape. It was a hassle of a formation for them but they were steadily working it out.

Then they immediately went to Formation E. It was called retreat. They had to cover and fire while escaping the enemies. All of them were not used to such tactics and they had to run while covering each others backs while also returning fire to the enemies. It was a hassle for them but they could see that this formation was very important.

Then next was the Formation F, which was to recover. They had to defend the wounded and also make first aids as they had no healer. Also, their health potions were limited. They had to make do of what they had.

They all finished the formations and they all were exhausted. They didn’t know that this would take their stamina like that. It was exhausting but their complexions and expressions were more radiating with confidence. Their first drills of formations were fruitful. With that, they all took a seat on the cloth that was put on the ground and they all chatted.

They all rested for now and Ren was still not contented with their current performance. As a matter of fact, they still lacked greatly. One mistake might end their lives, was what he was thinking. He needed to upgrade their senses and muscle memory for that.

With his plans, he made them practice one more round until they were exhausted. Ren immediately let them rest and then he commanded them to return back to the castle. He still has a lot to do for the rest of the day.

With that, he immediately let them rest and they waved goodbye to him. He stayed in the clearing and then immediately went to the Village that they all feared. He needed to level up fast till level 5 to unlock the Clone Developer skill, The Copycat Clones, and Ethereal and Stone Form.

All were useful and he has to get it fast!
