Chapter 24: Strike Team Hunt

Ren gathered the rag tag team under his. They stood straight while being in a line formation. All were armed and ready. Ren also held his sword in his hands with its scabbard.

They all looked forward to what they would do for this time. He also felt serious this time. A feeling that was not yet seen before and was foreign for them.

"I know some of you are still not in favor that I am the leader. That is why I will give you all a chance. Whoever defeats me, will be the leader of this team." Ren announced. They all looked at each other and were confused. They all were not into it but they were all tempted after they will be the ones who will lead the team.

"Also, everyone who wanted to take the opportunity, come all at once!" Ren drew his sword from his scabbard and made a valiant smirk. Signifying his confidence that he could deal with all of them.

They all drew their weapons and then thought that he was joking, he might regret it sooner or later that he challenged them all at once. They have all been training since young and were confident that they could defeat Ren in a single one on one combat. But to think that he proposed that he will make them all attack at once! He was surely joking! He was seriously underestimating them all!

They all went to giggle a bit as they all wanted to at least get a chance to beat this ignorant leader! They all went to attack and without retrain in their attacks.

"Ha! You will take us all at once? You will regret that handsomely!" Red shouted.

"Ha! Even I alone will be able to defeat you! How come you ask for all of us to attack!" Reinold drew his weapon.

"A frog in the well not knowing the vastness....." Red then was punched on the face. Making him roll to the ground several times. "Pufgh!!!"

Ren immediately went to grit his fist. "Who’s next?"

Reinold dashed and then appeared on his back then chopped his nape. Making him pass out.

The others were terrified by his speed. With that, they all attacked him in unison. Fang and Tooth alternated in their slashes and Ren blocked them one by one. Making him kick Fang on the face and then punched Tooth on the face downwards and slammed to the ground.

Ren then immediately went to get struck with tempest storm by the druid brothers and he went to get out of it still fuming with smoke.

"Skill! [Summon Clones!]" Ren immediately cast the skill.

Ren then attacked and they were all went running. Ren smashed them and they were flung from him. The two druids were also down after that moment.

They all then went to prostrate on the ground and then begged for his mercy.

"Please forgive us for doubting you! We will treat you as the leader!" Red shouted. Reinold also nodded, "Yes! So please have mercy!"

Ren then went to chuckle. "Hahaha! You think that enemies in the wilderness will take pity on you? They won’t, my brothers!"

"And so, I will be your leader! I won’t let any of you die on the battlefield. So I will all shape you up in a way that not even the strongest beast kills you." Ren announced. Then fidgeted his sword. "I didn’t even use the sword to slash any of you. If I did, all of your heads have severed from your necks!"

"Now! Everyone must heed my command! I will train you all into a great strike team!" Ren announced.

Ren then made the Lycan brothers to test him. He made them spar with him and then commanded them to work on their attack synchronization. They could block and defend each other’s backs in that case. Also for their Druid team, they were adept at casting tempest spells but lacked the melee fighting capabilities in their Werebear form.

The Ranger and Rogue brothers were also trained by Ren in their specialization. Knowing the Bloodhound family techniques, he passed it down to them. Making the two to have a tinge of respect after all he taught them.

"Everyone! Our enemies were Abominations. We can’t let them wound us or else the plague will infect us. And so, all has to train the hit and run tactics. Focus on evasion and range fighting. Only engage in melee when you have stunned the enemy or enough protection! Understood?" Ren said his commands.

"I can’t let anyone of you to get infected! Is that clear?" Ren shouted.

"Yes sir!" They all replied.

Warrior Rian was also there but Ren saw her just sitting on the side. If Rian would join the battle, and was in her rage form, then it will be an awry battle where Ren has to make it all just to defeat her.

"Don’t worry, I am not against the thought of you as the leader." She immediately went to thumbs up on him.

"Thanks!" Ren replied. He was beyond thankful for her approval.

Then they all started to train with their forms and Techniques. Ren managed their training and then in the mid day, they all started to hunt as a team. They went to the North side and then tracked the scent of the prey. By using Fang and Tooth as the lead. The buck was already in its prime and would be a good hunt to eat later. Red and Reinold all held their bows and went to fire at the moment it was alerted.

They managed to hit the butt but it still has the strength to flee.

Fang and Tooth immediately went to dash as they wanted to chase it. Ren also followed and then summoned a clone to scout ahead. Rian was beside with Ren and will only move in case of an immense danger.

The chase was not that long but they went to stop at his command. They saw a huge walking pile of corpses eating the carcass of their hunt. It has a protruding deer horns but faces of multiple men were seen on its head with glowing red eyes.

They went to curse their situation. "An abomination!" Ren nearly stammered.
