I’ve gone through a breakup, and my mind is a complete mess. I’ve been in a daze these past couple of days, so I missed yesterday’s update, and I probably won’t be able to write anything today, either. But I’ll do my best. I’ll write what I can. These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and ReadLoop ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the ReadLoop platform, including all websites, mobile web pages, and related services. By accessing, browsing, registering, logging in, reading novels, publishing content, interacting with other users, purchasing memberships or paid services on ReadLoop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and unconditionally agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept any part of these Terms, you shall not use any services provided by our platform.

1. Service Definition and Scope of Application

1.1 ReadLoop is a global comprehensive online novel platform dedicated to providing users with free and paid light novel and web novel reading services, original novel submission and publication, author incubation and support, user comment and interaction, VIP membership subscription, paid chapter unlocking, novel ranking display, content recommendation, and other value‑added derivative services.

1.2 These Terms apply to all users who access or use any services of the ReadLoop platform, including but not limited to ordinary reader users, original author users, paid VIP members, and all other registered and unregistered platform visitors.

1.3 These Terms comply with relevant international network laws, copyright protection regulations, and personal data protection rules. If any clause conflicts with the mandatory laws and regulations of your resident jurisdiction, the local mandatory laws shall prevail, and the remaining clauses of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

2. Account Registration and Usage Rules

2.1 Users may register a ReadLoop account through email, mobile phone number, or authorized third‑party platform accounts. You agree to provide true, accurate, complete, and up‑to‑date registration information. You shall promptly update your account information to ensure its validity and integrity at all times.

2.2 You are solely responsible for the security of your account, password, verification code, and all login credentials. All operations conducted under your account shall be deemed to be performed by you personally, and you shall bear all corresponding legal responsibilities and consequences. You shall not rent, sell, transfer, share, or lend your account to any third party. We shall not be liable for any losses caused by account leakage, sharing, theft, or unauthorized access.

2.3 If you discover abnormal login, account theft, information leakage, or other security risks, you shall immediately modify your password and contact our customer service for assistance. We will take reasonable technical measures to help you protect your account, but we do not assume any liability for losses arising from abnormal account operations.

2.4 We reserve the right to take disciplinary measures against irregular accounts, including but not limited to account warning, function restriction, temporary suspension, permanent ban, and account cancellation, for behaviors such as malicious batch registration, fake account brushing, illegal drainage, and account theft.

3. User Conduct Rules and Prohibited Behaviors

3.1 When using ReadLoop services, users shall abide by international network norms and the laws and regulations of their resident countries or regions, and shall not use our platform to engage in illegal, infringing, obscene, violent, or other improper behaviors.

3.2 Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in the following behaviors:

(1) Publishing, uploading, storing, or disseminating content involving pornography, violence, horror, blood, illegal politics, racial discrimination, insult, slander, privacy infringement, and other illegal or inappropriate content;

(2) Unauthorized reproduction, screenshotting, recording, cracking, redistribution, or commercial use of all copyrighted novels and platform content without official written authorization;

(3) Using plug‑ins, scripts, crawlers, malicious programs, or automated tools to batch capture platform content, brush reading volume, comments, likes, rankings, or conduct malicious reports;

(4) Publishing advertisements, fraud information, external links, false content in comment sections, book review areas, or private messages, or harassing, insulting, slandering other users and the platform;

(5) Impersonating platform officials, authors, customer service staff to mislead or defraud other users;

(6) Attacking, interfering, or destroying the platform’s servers, network systems, program codes, or invading platform backgrounds and stealing user data;

(7) Any other behaviors that violate laws, regulations, public order and good customs, and platform management rules.

3.3 For any violation of the above rules, we have the right to delete illegal content, restrict user speaking permissions, suspend or ban accounts, clear illegal benefits, and terminate service qualifications. We reserve the right to pursue legal liabilities of the violating users, and users shall compensate for all losses suffered by the platform due to their violations.

4. Copyright and Intellectual Property Rules

4.1 All intellectual property rights on the ReadLoop platform, including but not limited to novel texts, covers, illustrations, typesetting content, copywriting, platform logos, interface designs, and program codes, are exclusively owned by ReadLoop or its authorized copyright holders, and are protected by international copyright conventions and global intellectual property laws.

4.2 Ordinary users are granted a limited, non‑commercial, personal right to use and read platform content. Without written official authorization, no user may copy, reproduce, repost, translate, adapt, sell, commercially promote, or conduct secondary commercial creation of any platform content.

4.3 Original authors who publish works on ReadLoop automatically grant the platform the exclusive rights of online publication, promotion, operation, copyright protection, adaptation authorization, and commercial cooperation of the works. All published works must be original and shall not infringe any third‑party intellectual property rights. All copyright disputes arising from user‑published works shall be borne solely by the user, and the user shall compensate the platform for all resulting losses.

4.4 The platform strictly abides by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We accept copyright infringement complaints from third parties, remove verified infringing content in a timely manner, punish infringing accounts, and permanently terminate services for repeated infringers.

5. Paid Services, Membership and Refund Policy

5.1 ReadLoop provides value‑added paid services including paid chapter unlocking, monthly/quarterly/annual VIP membership, paid gift packs, and user tipping. All service prices, membership rights, and validity periods are subject to the real‑time display and announcement on the platform page.

5.2 Users voluntarily purchase platform paid services and confirm that they have fully understood the service content, rights, validity period and usage rules before payment. The paid service contract takes effect immediately after the user completes the payment.

5.3 VIP membership services may be automatically renewed by default. Users can manually turn off the automatic renewal function at any time in the personal account center. The valid membership rights will continue until the end of the current billing cycle after closure.

5.4 Refund Rules: No refund will be provided for personal reasons including but not limited to accidental purchase, unwillingness to use, or insufficient reading time. If the platform fails to provide corresponding services due to system failure, repeated deduction, or platform official errors, users may apply for a refund by providing valid evidence, and the verified fees will be returned via the original payment channel.

5.5 If a user’s account is suspended, banned or terminated due to violation of platform rules, all purchased membership rights, paid content and account balances will be invalidated immediately, with no refund, no cash conversion and no transfer allowed.

6. Platform Service Changes and Maintenance

6.1 We reserve the right to optimize, upgrade, adjust or modify platform functions, service content, interface display, charging rules and operating rules at any time based on operational needs, market changes and compliance requirements. Adjustments will take effect immediately after being announced on the platform without separate user notification.

6.2 The platform will conduct regular system maintenance, server upgrades and vulnerability repairs, which may cause temporary service interruption, stuttering or inaccessible access. We shall not be liable for any user losses caused by normal maintenance.

6.3 We shall not be responsible for service suspension, service interruption, data delay or service termination caused by force majeure factors, including but not limited to natural disasters, global network failures, policy adjustments, international regulatory requirements, and third‑party service abnormalities.

6.4 We do not guarantee that the platform service will be uninterrupted, error‑free or completely stable at all times. We will try our best to maintain the normal operation of the platform, but shall not bear any liability for service instability caused by objective factors.

7. Privacy Protection

Your use of ReadLoop services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

8.1 All platform services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make any express or implied warranties for the stability, accuracy, completeness and applicability of the platform services and content.

8.2 We shall not be liable for any direct or indirect losses incurred by users in the process of using the platform, including but not limited to data loss, profit loss, and losses caused by user personal operation errors and third‑party behaviors.

9. Amendment of Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The revised Terms will be published on the official platform page and take effect automatically upon publication. Your continued use of ReadLoop services after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the applicable international jurisdiction without regard to conflict of law rules. Any disputes arising from the use of platform services shall be resolved through friendly negotiation first; if negotiation fails, the disputes shall be settled through legal proceedings in the designated jurisdiction.

11. Final Provisions

If any clause of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable due to legal reasons, the remaining clauses shall remain fully valid and enforceable. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by ReadLoop.
