"Zhao Yun, you can stay in this first-floor apartment for now. Ye Ye and I will go upstairs to get you something to eat. You’re safe now, don’t be afraid. No one here will hurt you."

"Thank you... Thank you all!"

Zhao Yun bowed repeatedly to Yu Dong and the others in gratitude.

"Zhou, you stay here with her."

Yu Dong gave Zhou a look, and Zhou immediately got the hint. He picked up his spear and stood guard at Zhao Yun’s door.

The apartment they gave Zhao Yun was the one that had belonged to the old man zombie on the first floor. The body had long been thrown outside, and the supplies in the home had been completely cleaned out, but the clean bed and blankets were still there.

"Hold her down together!"

"She’ll quiet down once we’re inside her."

Hearing this, Shen Xinyi’s whole body went rigid. Then, she shot the three men a hard look, her eyes filled with defiance and madness.

"I... Shen Xinyi... will never let you humiliate me!"

She turned, and leaped from the open window!

She fell straight onto the concrete below.

A pool of crimson spread out from under her body. She blinked, struggled to turn her head, and looked toward Building One... She saw Yu Dong’s shocked eyes and his open mouth.

"No!"

Shen Xinyi tried to open her mouth, but couldn’t get a single word out.

Having witnessed everything, Yu Dong sprinted from the fifth floor straight down to the first, undid the chain lock, and burst out of Building One.

’A fall from this height isn’t necessarily fatal... not necessarily... maybe she can be saved...’

ROAR!!!

Four zombies rushed out from the stairwell of the adjacent Building Two. They fell upon Shen Xinyi’s body and began to frantically tear at her flesh.

Yu Dong froze.

"Dongzi, get back here!!!"

Seeing the situation, Zhou forcibly dragged Yu Dong back inside, snatched the keys, and relocked the door.
