Kotone Asaba did not go to Keiko Matsuno’s place first. Instead, he was looking for the abandoned factory where the Zombie Devil was located.

In the original story, the Zombie Devil had been hiding inside an abandoned factory. However, he did not know its exact location. He only knew it was somewhere in this small town.

"Excuse me, I’d like to ask for directions. Is there an abandoned factory anywhere around here?"
